(OLF News, June 03, 2009) Our correspondent from Finfinnee (Addis Ababa) reported that more than 29,750 people have been internally displaced by the conflict between Gujii Oromo and Sidama ethno-national groups that OLF News reported on May 31, 2009, a conflict invented by the current Meles Zenawi regime of Ethiopia. The residents who fled their homes and internally displaced include people in Western Arsii zone Siraaroo district and Sidama zone Boorrichaa district due to a conflict, which broke out on May 22, 2009. A considerably high amount of property is reported to have been destroyed and several homes of the rural population burned to the ground by this conflict.
It is to be recalled that OLF News has reported three TPLF invented conflicts in the last two weeks alone:
1) Between Oromo, Afar, and Argobbaa on May 20, 2009 in which 14 people died and more than 18 severely wounded;
2) Between Karrayyuu Oromo and Afar May 29, 2009 in which 21 people died from both sides;
3) Between Gujii Oromo and Sidama on May 31, 2009 in which 100 people died from both sides.
On several occasions over the last 18 or so years during the current administration different clans of the same Oromo communities such as Borana and Gabra, Borana and Guji, Borana and Gari have fought deadly, due to conflicts cooked by the TPLF regime, in which several people died from both sides property has been destroyed in a massive scale. Moreover, there have been repeated incidents of conflict between Oromos and other people neighboring Oromia such as the Oromo and Somali, Oromo and Sidama, Oromo and Afar, Oromo and Harari, Oromo and Amhara, Oromo and Benishangul, Oromo and Gumuz, and this time another round of conflict between Oromo and Afar and Oromo and Sidama.
WARNING!
The TPLF regime continuously resorts to an evil tactic of creating conflict between neighboring people who used to have minor differences in order to divert their attention from the opposition on the regime to a conflict among themselves. Unless an external intervention takes place many analysts fear that these endless and vicious cycle of artificial conflicts could lead to a disastrous consequences of un imaginable scale as seen in several.
